The popularity of Tai Chi in the west is without a doubt a direct response to the overwhelming increase of speed and complexity of our daily lives. A series of slow moving postures coupled with meditative techniques are used to empower the practitioner with the ability to achieve a relaxed and focused condition. Tai Chi is a Taoist Yoga that is heavily concerned with the inherent perfection of harmony and balance, and the cultivation of our vital internal energy (chi). Once these concepts start to become realized on a physical level they begin to transcend into our mental state and everyday life.
Tai Chi is an art of self discovery. You, and your life are the real objects of study. Commonly known as an ‘internal’ martial art, Tai Chi is designed to engage the opponent within first

Prenatal Restorative Yoga is a service offered to women needing to give themselves permission to rest and renew. Not only are the restorative postures relaxing, but they also have a therapeutic effect on the body's physiological system, bringing health to Baby and Mother.
Private Session
Prenatal Yoga is a simple method of preparing for childbirth. Yoga combines breathing and relaxation techniques with mild stretching, strengthening and balancing exercises for a well rounded program for health throughout pregnancy. You will be taught to have a home practice.
Nicole's studies have been with teachers in the Iyengar System over the last 8 years which have given her the knowledge of efficient prop use, aiding all body types to receive the most out of yoga postures. With the rapid changes during pregnancy, this prop use insures a safe and fulfilling yoga practice throughout pregnancy. Her personal experience with practicing Prenatal Yoga through two pregnancies have proven the value of yoga in her own life and the lives of her two beautiful daughters.
After being empowered to have a home practice, it is then suggested to have ongoing scheduled Private Sessions once a month.

All levels of experience welcome.
Restorative Yoga is a conscious practice of active relaxation. Our modern, fast-paced culture unfortunately creates extreme amounts of stress and tension in our bodies and mind. Currently, doctors and researchers are linking stress to heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and many other chronic diseases. A restorative yoga practice helps us to initiate our own relaxation response, bringing our nervous system back into balance. Restorative asanas will be supported by props in order to hold the postures for longer periods of time. This class will keep you stimulated, focused, and soothed at the same time. Restorative Yoga is recommended for all practitioners of all levels.
